Our Current Series Of Classes started the WEEK OF NOVEMBER 4th! (But there are workshops yet to come!). See our current schedule on this website now (click on "Classes" and “Workshops”) or download your own printed copy of the schedule by clicking here.

Organized in 1983 by sisters Erin & Tami Stevens, PBDA's classes generally run in progressive, 6-week series all year 'round ($90 series; or $18 single class admission.) Near the end of each series, the dates and times of the next series are updated on this site. 

Classes

Beginning thru Advanced group classes (& private lessons) in all styles of Swing Dancing: Jitterbug (Eastcoast Swing), Lindy Hop, Westcoast Swing, Balboa, Shag, plus Ballroom, Tango, Salsa, Hustle and more! (Click on the 'About Us' button above, and subscribe to our mailing list).  ***NOTE: We also have gift certificates available in any monetary amount, good for classes, dances and merchandise.        

Location

GRACE HALL, 73 N. Hill Ave., Pasadena, 91106.  (in BACK of the Hill Avenue Grace Lutheran Church).  Free easy parking, air-conditioning, and a nice LARGE wood floor. COME JOIN US!

This SATURDAY Night, Nov. 24th, come work off the turkey dinner at our weekly Swing Dance! We’ll feature: The Riff Raff Vintage Swing Band! Swing lesson 7:30-8pm; Band plays 8-11:30pm.  $20 admission includes the lesson, snacks, refreshments, and door prizes!

Plan ahead: Friday Night, Nov. 30th & Dec. 1st we’ll host a Birthday Bash for legendary dancer Norma Miller (her 99th!). Chester Whitmore’s Opus One Swing Band will play on Friday Night, with performances in vernacular dance styles. Special Classes with guest teachers on Saturday and Lil’ Mo & The Dynaflos on Saturday Night!!

You don't need a partner, just come & enjoy!

In 2011 the Stevens sisters of PBDA were contracted to write a historical reference guide to SWING DANCING, which has become a textbook at several universities around the country.
